Stephen was introduced to craft beer while bartending his way through college at a local draught house. His interest only intensified as he and his wife moved across the country, learning about different styles, visiting local and regional breweries, and honing his homebrew skills. In 2011 he landed back home in Texas, where his hobby evolved into a successful career in management in the Houston craft beer scene. In 2013 Stephen achieved the level of Certified Cicerone, and since then has continued to follow his desire to learn more, and to spread to gospel of craft beer. In the years since moving back to Texas, he has worked closely with many professionals in the craft beer world, and has worked hard within the community as well; installing and maintaining draft lines, designing craft beer menus, creating pairings for multi-course dinners, organizing and hosting beer festivals, and creating craft beer-focused server training manuals. Now Stephen calls Uncle Billy’s home, where he strives to learn more about the brewing process and integrate into the local craft beer culture.
